Free things to do in Pattaya: a 35-rai city park opens near Jomtien

On October 1, Pattaya officially opened a free 35-rai city park on Chaiyapruek 2 Road: running paths, 12 outdoor gym stations, football, basketball and evening yoga. Here is where it is, how to get there and what is nearby.

On October 1, Pattaya officially opened its city park on Chaiyapruek 2 Road - 35 rai, or about 5.6 hectares of green space. Entry is free, and the park is open every day from 5:00 to 21:00. The mayor of Pattaya came to the opening and jogged along the paths with local residents. What the park has: 1. Running and walking paths - you can run laps with no cars or traffic lights. 2. 12 outdoor gym stations - a free open-air gym. 3. A football pitch and a basketball court. 4. A children's playground, pavilions, benches and a viewpoint. 5. Toilets, food and small shops right on site. In the evenings people do yoga, aerobics, tai chi and wushu on the lawns, and there is a football game on the pitch. The nicest time to come is early morning or after five in the evening - it gets hot during the day. The park is on the Jomtien side of Sukhumvit Road, next to the indoor stadium: Pattaya City Public Park on Chaiyapruek 2. It is about 3 km inland from the Sukhumvit - Chaiyapruek intersection and 10-15 minutes by scooter or taxi from Jomtien Beach. If you live in Jomtien or around Chaiyapruek, this is now the closest big green space for a run. Apartments a few kilometres from the park, for rent and for sale, are in our real estate catalogue. The easiest way to get there on your own is on your own wheels - scooter and motorbike rental in Pattaya. And if after the park you want greenery on a grand scale, the huge Nong Nooch tropical garden is about 15 km south along Sukhumvit - Nong Nooch VIP tour. Share this with friends who live in Jomtien or around Chaiyapruek and are looking for a free place to run and work out outdoors: the park is open every day from 5 am.
