Underwater World Pattaya

Pattaya's only aquarium, with a 105-metre acrylic tunnel and sharks and rays swimming overhead.

**Underwater World Pattaya** is the only aquarium in Pattaya, located on Sukhumvit Road in the Nong Prue subdistrict of Bang Lamung district. It has been open since July 4, 2003. Its main feature is an acrylic tunnel over 105 metres long, which visitors walk through underwater while fish, rays, and sharks swim around and above them in a 180-degree view. No wetsuit or diving experience is needed - it's a regular walkway inside a glass tube. The aquarium is divided into several themed zones, each with its own fish-feeding schedule: the Coral Reef Zone (10:30 and 15:00), the Open Ocean Zone (11:00 and 16:00), and the Giants of Siam Zone (11:30 and 15:30). A separate educational program, Ocean Class, introduces children to marine biology under the guidance of aquarium staff. The easiest way to get there is by rented bike or car; rentals in Pattaya are available through MyThai GO, from 200 THB a day. The aquarium is open daily from 9:00 to 18:00, with last admission at 17:30. Adult tickets (height over 131 cm) cost 550 THB, child tickets (91-130 cm) cost 320 THB. A visit can also be booked in advance through MyThai GO, from 599 THB - no ticket-counter queue and a fixed price.
