The Pattaya International Fireworks Festival returns on Friday and Saturday, November 27-28, 2026, at Central Beach. Pyrotechnic teams from different countries compete over the bay, while the shore fills with a concert stage and rows of street food. Entry is free and no tickets are needed.
The program starts in the evening with an opening ceremony and stage shows, the fireworks begin after sunset and the last bursts go up around 23:30. The city will announce the exact schedule and competing countries closer to the dates.
Where to watch the fireworks:
1. Central Beach and Beach Road - the main zone, with the fireworks launched from the water right opposite the shore. Good spots on the sand are taken 2-3 hours before the start.
2. Bali Hai Pier at the southern end of the bay - you see the whole bay from there, but it gets crowded too.
3. A high floor or a restaurant facing the bay - no crowds and the best angle. These rooms and tables are the first to go for this weekend.
What to book in advance. Beach Road hotels with bay views fill up long before the festival, and waterfront restaurants sell special "fireworks dinners". If you are coming for the whole season, you can rent a high-floor apartment with a sea view by the month - apartments for rent in Pattaya.
Roads. On festival days Beach Road is closed to cars from mid-afternoon until midnight, and parking is banned both on it and in the sois between Beach Road and Second Road. In 2025 the city opened 16 park-and-ride lots with free shuttles to the beach, and the 2026 plan is usually published about a week before the festival.
The easiest way to get there is by scooter: it slips through where cars are stuck in traffic. Leave it beyond Second Road and walk a couple of blocks. A scooter in Pattaya costs from 200 baht a day - scooter and car rentals.
If you are here for the whole weekend, give one day to the sea: Sabai Island with sunset - a speedboat from Sattahip pier, snorkeling in sea grottos and a seafood barbecue on the beach. The boat returns after sunset, so book it for November 26 or 29, not for a fireworks evening.
Forward this to friends flying to Pattaya at the end of November, so they can grab a room with a bay view before they are gone.
