This is the ancient unarmed combat Muay Boran, developed several hundred years ago, now gaining popularity worldwide. The modern name appeared after the fall of ancient Ayutthaya and the emergence of Siam. It is now called the “Fight of Eight Limbs” because it uses strikes with hands, feet, elbows, and knees. Fighting is at any distance and in the clinch. Modern rules prohibit headbutts and hip throws. Gloves, mouthguards, and protective cups are mandatory. Originally, only the best warriors and members of royal families were trained in this art. Muay Thai became widely known in Europe in 1977 when Thai fighters won matches against kickboxers and karatekas. A highlight is the special prayer fighters say in the ring corner before the fight and a ritual dance honoring the coach. In Pattaya, tourists can watch staged fights at Nong Nooch Park and the famous Walking Street, but real matches happen only at professional stadiums. One of the best is Max Muay Thai Stadium, where we organize the trip. Even if you have never been interested in martial arts, you will be greatly impressed by the spectacle. For thrill seekers, this excursion is a must-visit. Thai boxing competitions are very powerful, energizing, and won’t let you stay still. Fights are held DAILY. Monday to Friday – 3 fights from 19:30 to 20:30. On weekends – 5 fights from 19:30 to 21:50. Included: "MAX" Stadium: transfer from the hotel in Pattaya and back for bookings of 2 or more persons. For single bookings, an additional 250 baht is charged on the ticket price. Other stadium: round-trip transfer included regardless of the number of tickets purchased. Entrance tickets
