Ko Kut is part of the Ko Chang archipelago and is a popular tourist destination. Ko Kut is not the smallest island in Thailand (the fourth largest island in Thailand, 22 by 8 kilometers), but only about 2,000 residents live permanently on the island, most working in tourism. Almost the entire island is covered with jungle, and the terrain is slightly hilly with the highest point at 315 meters. Ko Kut is still considered one of the most beautiful islands of Thailand. "Still" because in recent years the island has been rapidly developing and building up, gradually turning from a little-developed pristine island into a tourist center. So if you want to visit a paradise island with beautiful, uncrowded clean beaches, abundant vegetation, rich wildlife, and few tourists, you should hurry before the island is developed with hotels and the coastline dotted with restaurants and cafes. We are often asked which is better – Ko Chang or Ko Kut? The answer is they are different and each suits different preferences. Ko Chang differs from Ko Kut in that Ko Chang has more developed infrastructure – bars, restaurants, even a couple of nightclubs, while Ko Kut has almost none of that, and gives you more unity with untouched nature and more relaxation with fewer tourists. Ko Chang is an excellent compromise option, giving you beautiful tropical nature, wonderful beaches, and evening entertainment. Perhaps Ko Chang suits younger, active travelers more, while Ko Kut is ideal for romantic trips, family vacations with children, and people tired of city bustle. Programs are usually designed for a 2 day / 1 night stay, but we highly recommend, if possible, to pay extra and enjoy this wonderful island longer.
